What happened to your Washington DC location? I live in Northern VA and I miss this place! There is nothing like the Exploded potatoes! Please open another location in the DC area.

Hello to Frisco's. Yesterday I had the pleasure of eating your food for the first time. The food was great... and the best part was, it was a gift from the generous culinary master Wolf family. I teach at Ballenger Creek Middle School and the luncheon you provided was a truly generous and thoughtful gesture. I thank you most sincerely. DELICIOUS! and I will make a point of coming to Frisco's whenever I'm in town.

Love, Love, Love Friscos! The food, the sundaes outside, and the wine!!
Web site is kind of lacking though... i was trying to find info on tomorrow's wine tasting but there doesn't seem to be anything.
Even though i think the web site is hard to use and not very good, i figure its becasue you keep the focus on the food!!

We had lunch at your great restaurant on Sunday. Everything was wonderful. The Amber Bock on tap was nice and cold. My Golden Gate sandwich was made with bread that tasted fresh baked, perfectly ripe avocado and loads of fresh sprouts.
John, the owner and chef, very generously gave us samples of some pastas and salads he was testing for menu additions. Both were outstanding! Very fresh with high quality ingrediants.
We can't wait to come back! Thank you!

Your food is fantastic and the service there has always been excellent. If anyone is looking for a casual and fun place to eat that has great food and service, Frisco's is the place. I hope your resturant is around for years to come!

Hello All,
I am one of the few people that had heard about you but never been to until our office moved three buildings down. Now we are pretty much regulars.
I only have one suggestion to those like me who watch what we eat. Is there any way that you all could add the calorie intake for your food.
I know this is a hard task but I would trully apreciate it. Thank you guys!

Can anybody tell me what has changed about the exploded potatoes?
They are still great but there is a distinctive flavor that I've never tasted in them before and I can't think of what it is.

My friend and I ate here while on our annual "alphabet" trip and the food was wonderful! We like to only eat at local restaurants as opposed to large chain restaurants when we travel...a.k.a. Friscos is a real gem!
Thanks,
Timeless

I really love the exploded potatoes.
The way cool mud pies are simply amazing.
My kids and I come here regularly.
I really do agree with Chuck Tyler.

Yum! I just love your food. My husband is especially fond of the exploded potatoes - they remind him of his late uncle's potato salad. I tried to get the recipe, but your staff were so clever with what they told me when I asked (Some of this and some of that...). I guess I will just have to purchase a tub of it next time!
Everytime I come I order a different item and enjoy it. I actually have never had to say this to another place -you put too much meat in your chicken chili! (I've learn to eat a smaller portion of it cause it fills me up fast).
My kids love it, too. Their favorite? The dipped ice cream cones at Way Cool!
Excellent food, great atmosphere and fast, friendly service. N in Adamstown

It would be really nice if you would put your hours on the website. I for one always forget what time you close on Sundays.

We have visited your restaurant since you opened, oh so many years ago. We love your salads and the exploded potatoes, especially the exploded sweet potatoes you have in November and December. The Way Cool Kiss is fantastic. Your ice cream and your cookies together, what a perfect pair.
We wish you would serve fresh brewed unsweetened iced tea with lemon on the side. We are not too fond of soda and bottled tea is just not the same.
Thanks for all the delicious food

I am one of many customers that make a habit out of eating at your restaurant at least a couple times during the workweek. Firstly, I think it’s worth mentioning even if it’s already well known; Frisco’s isn’t just a short order deli/restaurant. I can tell ya first hand because I work at the Music and Arts center next door. (Let’s just say the topic of which soup of the day is best is sometimes more important than getting work done.) Also, the way orders are taken and delivered is so efficient, not only for the customers but for the staff as well. It’s extremely hard in my opinion for any restaurant to earn a customer’s complete trust. What is truly amazing in my eyes is the universal consensus across Frederick County that any and every visit to Frisco’s will be a pleasant one.
I could go on about the ice cream, or the atmosphere, or the stellar service. But everyone knows these things. And as I take the time to think about your restaurant, I can’t help but wonder what would happen if you weren’t here anymore. I’m sure people would be groveling about how they have to go to Quiznos and pay an arm and a leg or to subway and become sick. Business deals would be lost because we’d be catering pizza or something else just as boring. Heck, it might even be the answer to getting all these people to stop moving here!
The bottom line is we all adore you Frisco’s, and I hope never a day comes when I can’t get my grilled cheese and exploding potatoes.

I discovered AKA Frisco's about a year and a half ago and have been in nirvana ever since. The Fatboy is a great italian hogie and the potato dishes never fail, but THE SOUP is to die for. I have yet to be disappointed.

I saw that in Aug, 2006 someone commented on your little plastic fork. When are you going to change to a better fork? I love your food by the way!!!

Much easier to read, thank you!
Jun 26 2007 09:15 am
I'd like to echo the sentiments about the online menu being too small and blurry to read. Please post a new menu with larger print.
Apr 13 2007 08:41 am
The online menu was very helpful, but unfortunately we were unable to read it or print it out because the printing was too blurry and the words online were too small. But the food was awesome!!!

Where's your pic of that good looking guy who invented the Sunny Jim salad?!! I heard he lost 60 pounds eating your broccoli & cauliflower, & you guys made the cover of Time Magazine!
Aug 30 2006 01:04 pm
Great food & atmosphere!!!
Aug 1 2006 03:03 pm
Love, love you guys! My kids and I come once or twice a month for dinner and at least once a week for ice cream. The flat iron steak is the best and I wash shocked that I could eat it with your little plastic fork-that's how tender it was! My only complaint is that your ice cream shop is not open later than 9:00. We are often there right before 9:00 and pretty much everytime I've been there, people have been arriving after you've closed. I live across the street from Brusters and there is a steady stream of people until 11:00 despite their higher prices.

I've been eating at AKA Friscos since 1999. I love their Exploded potatos but the Frisco Cobb with avacado is the best! Could you put avacado on more items? Our first wine tasting was about a week ago. What a nice touch to be able to taste the wines before choosing. Thanks Friscos for such a great place to eat!!!
Jul 28 2006 05:05 am
